Recently some customers are asking us some questions about snap buttons,so here we would like to make a simple introduction about snap buttons.
Hoping the simple introduction can help more people!
A snap button, also called press stud or popper snap,is commonly made out of brass, and often is used for clothing/wallet fastening purpose, which is composed of four parts,A,B,C,and D part.
A part is the top cap of snap button, and B,C,and D are often called bottom three parts, which determine the model number of a snap button.
For the name of each parts, please see the following image:
Next we would like to introduce three commonly used model numbers of snap buttons, which are #633,#655 and #831.
#655 three bottom parts are applied for caps bigger than 10mm.
#633 three bottom parts are applied for caps between 10mm and 15mm.
#831 three bottom parts are applied for caps bigger than 15mm.
The structure of the above three bottom parts is completely the same, and just different in sizes.
#831 is the biggest, while #655 is the smallest, and #633 is in the middle.
From the above simple introduction,we can see that A part is customized in sizes and logo, but the bottom three parts are almost constant.
Thank you and have a nice weekend!
Best Regards,
Jerry Huang
